Gael
Quality, Ltd. is a provider of PC-based business
improvement software solutions. They recently
released Ygnius, a software tool that allows teams
to quickly extract and capture the knowledge and
experience of team members and allow teams to
navigate, analyze and understand this information
quickly to deliver measurably outstanding results.
Gael Quality is also the developer of Q-Pulse,
a Windows-based PC application for management
systems such as ISO 9000 / ISO 14000 / QS 9000.
As the Customer Services Manager, Paul Callaghan
is primarily interested in business solutions
that strike a balance between the essential softer
customer focus requirements of the organization
and the harder, technology elements necessary
to realize them.
Challenge
Gael Quality's need for a mass email product originated
from the recent development and release of their
new product, Ygnius, launched in January 2001.
Ygnius is available to customers as a fully functional
30-day evaluation, downloadable from their web
site. One of the main sales and marketing requirements
for this product was to manage a close level of
contact with the customer during the 30-day evaluation
period and build a relationship, which would,
hopefully, result in the purchase of a license(s).
With a forecast of thousands of downloads per
month; it was obvious they would have to perform
some form of automation to manage this.
Why Campaign?
" As part of the overall development process
of this new product, we soon realized we also
had to implement a new business model, introducing
an integrated web and e-business approach to many
aspects of the business including sales, marketing
and support," said Paul Callaghan.
After testing several other mass email software
programs, Gael Quality chose Campaign as the most
robust program they could find with the ability
to enter SQL queries into the program, and "write
back" to a chosen database field.
Solution
By using Campaign software, and carefully developing
projects to maximize contact with minimum effort,
Gael Quality manages to maintain an ongoing presence
with customers during the critical 30-day evaluation
period of their software. Through careful management
of customer responses to emails, they allow sales
staff to focus on the customers that are keen
to enter into dialogue and extend the personal
touch that Campaign initially establishes.
